Kenafayim (“Wings”) is a nonprofit organization established in 2004 which serves as a multidisciplinary arts center for artists who deal with mental health issues.

Kenafayim offers a creative platform in which these gifted artists are free to spread their wings, beyond boundaries and limitations. This expression through art is transformative and empowering for the artists, bestowing them with a sense of being capable and being productive members of society.

This multidisciplinary arts center provides a professional framework for the artists and offers practical tools to help with the process of rehabilitation, personal development, as well as  finding meaning and purpose in life through the development of their artistic talents.

Kenafayim inspires to create a model for connecting through art and creating a dialogue between equals. A place for interacting with the community that enables the artists to reveal their arts at shows and exhibitions openings to the general public, thereby contributing to changing the perceptions of our artists dealing with mental health issues and promoting tolerance for different people in society. As part of its undertakings, the center offers  various departments for diversified  arts including: plastic arts, animation, photography, video, theater, music and creative writing. All the instructors are active creative artists themselves.

Kenafayim's activities take place in two centers - the Arts Center in Shapira neighborhood Tel Aviv and in the Kenafayim art salon in Jaffa, who also serves as a gallery where exchanging exhibitions of Kenafayim artists, as well as other first-rate artists are hosted in the gallery.
